I like the novel. It's a relaxing read. The MC is clever and the ML is a nice but quiet guy. Plus the face slapping is pretty satisfying... HOWEVER! The ML keeps calling the MC wife and everyone keeps calling him sister in-law... it's pretty uncomfortable. Why can't the ML call him husband? Why don't the relatives call him brother-in-law? It's just a small thing, but idk why it bothers me so much. Excluding that I think it's a nice read. I just really hate the author trying to have the MC take the role of a female in the relationship when one of the reason people read it is because it's about to men. Idk.

It became quite clear early on that the author herself had no idea what her story is supposed to be, she included basically every trope and genre she could think of, and it leaves the story with an unfitting mix of Wuxia, Xianxia, dog-blood drama, business, pure fantasy, and politics, combined with an immense tendency to emasculate the MC until he's more or less a woman.
The novel tries to be everything at once but does none of it properly, it likely would have if she had left it at transmigration and building a business/getting rich, but the sudden shift to complete fantasy and jarring feminisation pulls it down to the level of a pretty bad Gary Stu self-insert fanfiction.
MC is more intelligent than all the other characters combined, ML is overpowered beyond believe, both aren't gay, have ulterior motives, and still fall in love because – why not?
There has to be romance, how much sense it makes doesn't matter.
And if there's need for a certain plot-point that can't be explained reasonably, then the author brings fantasy into it, a sure way to "justify" the existence of all the sudden nonsense she pulled.
