What bothers me the most is that literally every time there is a problem in the novel it's caused by a woman, men are kind of great wise, sensible, stable, logical, think... so that women are old shrews, raving fools, causing trouble for nothing. Whenever someone has no value (lying, betraying, cheating, being ungrateful...) it is a woman, whenever someone does something bad (stealing, abandoning husband and child, rip off...) she is a woman. Every problem, every story, every bad deed is ALWAYS A WOMAN, NEVER A MAN. I can't help but think that all of this misogyny is the author's that is found in his writing.
