Tribulation of Mysteries
Chapter 42:

“The cultists in this stronghold are indeed not strong… There’s no need to get involved. Let them plan on their own and increase their combat experience.”

Aaron had already understood the strength of the Black Sun cultists in this stronghold and decided to watch from the sidelines.

….

The next day.

Dyat, Sycamore Street.

A rusty and tattered notice board lay by the side, and a breeze blew past, rolling up old newspapers.

Rem was boredly carrying out his scouting mission when his eyes suddenly lit up.

He saw a girl of about fourteen or fifteen, clutching a bag of food as she entered a building.

“That person… is it Lin? Although she’s grown quite a bit, this face can’t be wrong. ”

Rem did not expect to meet a wanted criminal of the cult and could not help but be excited.

“If I can sacrifice them to the Black Sun, perhaps the Lord will promote me directly to a ‘Burning Son’ or even a ‘Dark Chaser’!”

He licked his lips, and an uncontrollable greed appeared on his face.

But soon Rem said to himself, “No! This woman is very strange. She is the Chosen one of the Moon and was the cause of the Blood Moon Massacre. Many Immortals died at her hands. Hurry, hurry and inform Lord Mas! ”

Rem dropped his body and hid in the darkness.

He did not notice that there was an old spider’s web in a corner, trembling slightly.

The invisible tremors spread with the threads and into the building.

Olivia opened her eyes, “That person is gone. I can see that he’s rather cautious. Next, these cultists will probably come out in full force. Let’s hope this trap we set works …”

“Too bad … I thought he would come right out and give me some fun.” Lin looked down at her hand with regret.

“There is no fun. There’s a big fight next.”

Olivia’s expression was unprecedentedly determined.

Unlike her previous weak self, who went with the flow, she now had faith, and this time she was fighting for her faith!

“I have a rough idea of their combat strength. One Burning Son, three to four Unburners. They would never have imagined that I still have you.”

A smile appeared on Lin’s face.

….

“This is the place?”

Mas looked at the building in front of him with a sinister smile.

“Yes, the target entered this place and hasn’t left for a long time. This should be their base,” the red-haired Rem flattered.

“Very good. If we succeed this time, I won’t forget you.” Mas was very pleased. He even felt that today was his lucky day.

Not only were they making rapid progress in the city, they had even found an important criminal wanted by the Church!

“Your Excellency, how should we make the arrest?”

One of the Unburners asked. He was tall and thin, and held a revolver in his hand.

“Send two people to guard the back door, then we will rush in directly. In the face of absolute strength, this person has nowhere to hide.”

Mas was very sure of his arrangements.

Once everyone was in position, a trace of fanaticism flashed in his eyes. A blazing flame appeared in his hand and he thrust it forward.

Rumble!

The fireball continued to expand in the air, and like a grenade, it blew open the door of the building.

“Go!”

The remaining three people rushed into the building, led by the tall, thin man.

They ran quickly down the corridor and saw a room filled with food. The door was wide open.

Dressed in a red dress, she disappeared around the corner.

“Target found, chase!”

Mas’ spirituality vibrated and he confirmed that the target was Lin!

The tall and slender Unburnt One ran quickly. After turning the corner, he saw Lin’s back and raised the weapon in his hand.

Lin did not reveal too much of her abilities in the city, so he did not know that the girl had the ability to turn into blood.

After aiming, the Unburnt One smiled as if he could see the target’s back explode and blood splatter everywhere.

Pu!

The next moment, his face froze. His head flew up and his headless body fell to the ground.

“What’s going on?”

Mas and another follower stopped dead in their tracks. Suddenly they saw a transparent thread hanging in the air. Drops of blood dripped from the thread.

The other follower swallowed. He could imagine the unfortunate person’s neck hitting the thread as they moved at high speed.

“Damn… It’s the height, According to the height of the thread, the little girl could run straight through it, and an adult’s neck would be just right.”

Mas touched his own neck and broke into a cold sweat. “What a cunning little thing.”

He no longer dared to move at high speed. He slowed down and lowered his head to avoid the trap.

Poo!

At that moment, the door next to him suddenly exploded and a bloody sharp dagger stabbed out.

Mas quickly dodged it as if he had eyes in the back of his head. But the another cultist was stabbed in the chest and fell down.

Lin opened the door blankly and walked out. One of her hands was still in the shape of a dagger.

“After you killed my men with a trap, you didn’t run away, but hid and ambushed me?”

Mas narrowed his eyes: “You’ve grown a lot… Lin!”

“How is Eyke?”

Lin asked in a husky voice.

“He died a long time ago. Not only that, his bones were made into an exhibit by the high priest!”

A ferocious smile appeared on Mas’s face as he spat out words like a poisonous snake.

Just as Lin was stunned, he moved!

He threw out a ball of pitch-black flame.

Boom!

The black flame exploded. Although Lin had already dodged, her left arm was still burned.

Her arm instantly turned to blood. The flames attached to it were cut off and reformed into an intact arm. Her expression was a little pale as she swung her dagger and lunged forward.

“Damn it!”

Before Mas could rejoice, he spotted Lin’s attack. The dagger narrowly missed his stomach, forcing him to dodge in a sorry state.

“Little bitch!”

He cursed and pulled a black stone from his chest. Flame-like patterns were writhing on the surface of the stone: “So you’ve reached the second level. But why do I still dare to chase you? It’s not because I brought a bunch of useless subordinates with me, it’s because of this!”

As he said this, Mas threw the black stone.

Bam!

In an instant, Lin’s vision disappeared.

No, it didn’t disappear. Instead, all the light around her seemed to be absorbed by the stone!

Darkness Descent!

This was the ability of the third stage- Dark Chaser!

But the followers of the Black Sun were able to see well in the darkness.

Boom!

Lin’s groan and several explosions could be heard in the darkness.

Finally, the darkness faded.

Lin fell gently to the ground. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ NƟvelFɪre.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.
