One month has passed since Yakto was defeated and all the cult members have been captured. The Buraford Kingdom was still in the middle of recovering from the calamity.

It turned out the undead commanders that were seen besides Yakto during the battle were Markus and Maximus.
Maximus gave up on the competition for the throne and decided to protect the northern boundary from invaders and left as soon as he found out that the North's tribal groups were attacking again.
As for Markus, he became mentally unstable due to Yakto and it was decided that he couldn't compete, so, by default, Kai won the competition.
A week later, the Radiant Empire's troops finally arrived but only to find out that nothing is there to be done. They decided to head back but first asked someone to come with them to represent Buraford Kingdom and explain about the whole incident. They also informed them that the Radiant Church had offered to give a chance to faith well, so they had to pick a candidate who'll get the opportunity to use magic well.
In the end, Diana chose to go, saying that she had hit the bottleneck between the Magic Knight and Magic Champion realm, so she needed to draw the support from a faith well from the Radiant Church.
Kai was surprised to hear that, after only two months had passed, she had reached from the first layer to the peak of the Magic Knight stage.
However, she still hadn't returned after two weeks.
According to Master Daoma, a faith well is a mystical creation born from the gathering of millions of people and it could be used for various purposes. To fulfill one's wish, they will have to complete the task and conditions given by it.
The task was created with the power of fate, therefore destiny would guide them to fulfill one's wish and could influence their memories and personalities until the task was finished. Of course, there were limitations to its power so it can't guide you if your wish couldn't be fulfilled with the current power of faith.
As for why Diana needed to use the faith well, it was to breakthrough to Magic Champion. It was related to her tribulations.
Due to the current limit of laws, when a magic user breaks through to Magic Champion, they would face magic law tribulations and had a high chance of dying when passing them, so she had to draw support from it. "Your Majesty, after going through the faith well's task, Diana has successfully completed her guidance."
Hearing that, Josif nodded and smiled. "That's good. With this, we have solved two problems with one solution. Now the Radiant Church can't use the faith well for ten years."
The minister also smiled.
The struggle between the church and the imperial family for the authority and control over the empire had gone on for many years.
