Chapter 355: Kenichi's Contact

"So you are up sleeping beauty," said Kenichi as he looked at Natasha waking up.

Instantly Natasha was on her feet crouching on the bed her eyes roamed around the room, taking in everything that she could use to take care of the boy in front of her. Everything she could use as a weapon from a pen to the wire of the landline were within her reach but she didn't make a move yet because the boy who called out to her was still sitting on th chair a few feet away from her and looking at her with a relaxed expression and wasn't even on guard against her.

"Keep calm Ms. Romonoff, I am not going to do anything to you. I just want answers to some of my questions from you that's all." Kenichi said in a relaxed manner.

"And you believe I will answer those questions, why?" asked Natasha in return

"Maybe you won't or maybe you will, I won't know until I ask the question," Kenichi said as he shrugged his shoulders.

Natasha sat down on the bed's corner to make Kenichi let his guard down.

"The first one is quite simple actually. Who are you working for? Cause as far as I can remember both the KGB and Red Room under it were shut down so are you in the private sector now." asked Kenichi

Natasha's eyes turned cold as she said "I don't know how you got the information about it but since you are going to die anyway let me tell you that your information is wrong."

"Is that so! Are you sure that the officer who gives you these tasks isn't just using you?" asked Kenichi with a raised eyebrow. "Have you met anyone else besides your supervising officer after the program was shut down?"

Hearing these questions Natasha didn't have anything to say, it wasn't that she wasn't suspicious regarding his supervising officer but she was trained to follow orders and not to ask any question so she kept her mouth shut.

"Well how about this, the people that you have been assassinating by following your supervising officer's orders, how do they help your country?" asked Kenichi as he stood up making Natasha stand up herself in vigilance. "I am not gonna attack you. Though please answer me how assassinating 5 teenagers was gonna help your country when they haven't been here for more than 2 months?"

Natasha of course didn't have an answer to these questions from Kenichi.

"Don't have any answers do you?" said Kenichi with a smirk making Natasha's blood boil as she looked at his smirk.

"Well let me help you with some of these questions," said Kenichi as he took out a cell phone which he took from Spartacus, and dialed a number.

"Hello, Who is this?" came a voice from the other side of the phone.

"Hello, Ms. Irina it's good to hear your voice. I am Kenichi speaking" said Kenichi as he put the phone on speaker to let Natasha hear their tall as well.

"Oh, Mr. Kenichi it's good to hear your voice as well. How are you?" asked Irina after getting over her surprise as she never thought Kenichi would be calling her so early when it hasn't been long since she gave her personal number to him.

"I am fine, just feeling the welcome of Russia that's all," Kenichi said

"Feeling Russia's welcome!! Are you in Russia Mr. Kenichi?" asked Irina standing up from her seat.

"Yes, Ms. Irina I just landed in Moscow around 1 and a half hours ago and there has been already an assassination attempt on me," Kenichi stated

"What!? Assassination attempt on you why?" asked Irina in surprise.

"That's the question even I want the answer for. At first, I thought it would be One Shadow Nine Fist but it turns out to be the work of the Russian government and here I thought I didn't have any enmity with Russia" Kenichi stated

"You don't Mr. Kenichi and neither do we. Why would you think that we would try to assassinate you" asked Irina

"The assassin was from KGB or more specifically the Red Room that's how I know it was the government" replied Kenichi

"That's not possible the KGB and Red Room we're shut down. Alexander Gaider himself destroyed many Red Room bases when he found out how they were training the young girls. He was disgusted by them and killed the supervising officers there and setting the girls free. Many of those girls joined his sister's team in the army so it can't be them." Irina stated

The shock on Natasha's face was clear, she obviously heard about the attacks on the few bases of Red Room by different government agencies and that was one of the reasons she was told that there hadn't been any contact between the different supervising officers and she had accepted the fact. But now she is hearing that it was one man, and that too was Colonel Alexander Gaider or former Colonel now.

"Well, it was definitely a Red Room assassin because my masters have told me about their style so I could easily identify it. Maybe Red Room has been just silent until because Gaider was there and now that he is locked up they have started acting up again and you don't know." Kenichi said hearing which Natasha's eyes were shining with as she couldn't believe that the people she has killed were just for her supervising officer to fill her pocket.

"It could have been such a case before I brought the information about Alexander Gaider but not now. After the information, I brought my position in the party is really strong. You can say that I am in the inner circle of our party so if Red Room was still active then I would have known." stated Irina with a smile on her face.
