LIYAH'S VILLA

Liyah Myers stretched her legs and hands tiredly and stood up from the desk. She picked the dress she had just finished sewing and looked at it admiring it.

It was a purple flowery dress she had just finished sewing and was very satisfied with it. Liyah Myers placed the dress on a hanger and went out of the workshop to her hall. She opened the fridge and removed a jug of fruit juice and poured some into a glass and drank it.

Just then, her phone buzzed setting off an alarm. She went to the table and picked it up turning of the alarm and murmuring ''is time''.

Liyah Myers went to her bedroom and quickly changed into a white blouse and skinny jeans. She picked an ocean-like small earrings to match and a blue purse and black specs.

Liyah Myers walked out of her home and went to a Maserati parked in front of the house and got in and drove out.

Time had gradually passed for Liyah Myers and she was now back to herself again. She was back to been the confident and arrogant Liyah Myers but this time she was an arrogant person with a good heart. Time had healed her wounds. Though, she was still scared of a lot of things, she had mustered courage and had learnt to be comfortable around her true friends.

Speaking of true friends, her phone buzzed and she looked at the caller ID with a smile and answered putting it on loudspeaker as she drove ''Hello, Mr. Martins. Yes, I am almost there. Okay, see you there, bye''. She hung up and smiled driving towards Kash Family Hospital.

Yes, she was going to visit August Maijune. August Maijune was still in coma but was recovering slowly. Today was Friday and every Friday, Liyah Myers was responsible for taking care of August Maijune as Aaron Saint always travelled out of the city for business.

After August Maijune's surgery, Aaron Saint had buried himself in his work. He didn't leave any spare time to rest. So, Liyah Myers and Leo Martins tried to help by taking turns in looking after August Maijune. But, today was Liyah's turn and Leo Martins had requested to join her to which she agreed.

She and Leo Martins had been spending time together ever since August Maijune was in the hospital. He had helped her a lot and she had come to really like him though she wouldn't ever tell him that. Deep down, she still felt unworthy of him and didn't want to destroy their new friendship by been selfish. Liyah Myers thought she had successfully bottled her feelings well and couldn't allow anything to destroy her.

Liyah Myers reached the underground parking lot and pulled over into a parking space and got down. She saw Leo Martins standing in front of his car waiting for her. Liyah Myers smiled and walked towards him. Leo Martins looked at her from head to toe and couldn't take his eyes of her. She dressed chicly today and the way she walked made her look like a seductress.

Liyah Myers stood by him and waved her hand at him as he stood dazed. Liyah Myers turned and looked behind her seeing no one and asked ''what are you looking at like that?''

''You''. Leo said turning to meet her gaze.

''Huh? Me? Is there something on my face?'' Liyah Myers said as she touched her face.

Leo Martins chuckled and shook his head saying ''no, you just look beautiful. Let's go before I change my mind''. Leo Martins said and held her hand walking with her towards the entrance of the hospital.

Liyah Myers looked at their hands and smiled. Lately, Leo Martins have been holding her hand at every opportunity. Though she liked it, Liyah Myers was worried that she might be over thinking or misunderstanding things but she felt that Leo Martins might just like her. The thought of it made her flush.

Leo Martins opened the door and they walked in and saw the nurse changing the IV of August Maijune. Liyah Myers walked closer and looked at August Maijune and said ''I'm here, August Maijune. And guess who came with me today? Mr. Martins''.

The nurse finished and left and Liyah Myers pulled the chair closer to the bed and sat on it. Leo Martins sat on the edge of the bed and watched Liyah Myers as she spoke to August Maijune.

''I'm almost finished with the dress I'm making for you August Maijune. The only thing left is for you to wake up and wear it. I bet you will look pretty in it. Also, I have good news for you. I am starting my own clothing line soon. Excited, aren't you? Then you have to wake up soon and help me. Do you know how boring it is without you? I have no one to bicker with'' Liyah Myers looked excited as she talked about her new clothing line that she was preparing.

Leo Martins smiled and continued to look at Liyah Myers. Everything about her was simply amazing in his eyes. The way she looked, the way she pouted her lips and smiled. The way she made gestures when speaking. He really like her. Even though, everything started when Aaron Saint asked him to seduce her, he had long forgotten of that because now, he really like the kind of person she had become.

Throughout the year, she had worked hard, attended her therapy and managed to overcome her anxiety. She was now comfortable around him and he liked that a lot. She wasn't being careful and guarded around him, she was relaxed and been herself which was her charm.

Leo Martins turned his gaze towards August and his phone buzzed. He smiled and looked at Liyah Myers saying ''I have to pick this up''. Liyah Myers nodded and Leo Martins stood up and walked towards the door to answer the call.

Liyah Myers looked at his back and leaned closer to August Maijune and whispered ''August Maijune, I think I like Mr. Martins a lot. I like watching him. Everything about him just looks good to me. What do I do? I hope I'm not been obvious? What if he finds out about my feelings? Will he stop been my friend?''

Liyah Myers sighed and looked at August Maijune's face adding ''I really need you to tell me something. Is it okay to feel this way? Am I allowed to like him? How does he see him? Honestly, I don't feel too good about myself yet. I only have you so you have to get up soon and help me figure things out, silly girl. Don't you miss me? I really miss you August Maijune''.

''I'm really sorry''. Leo Martins apologised again.

''No, don't be. You can go. I will spend some time here before I go back to the house'". Liyah Myers told him.

''Then, I will call you later on tonight?'' Leo said before picking his oversized coat and went out. He stopped at the door and looked back as if contemplating before he walked to Liyah Myers and kiss her on her forehead before finally going out.

Liyah Myers blushed before realising what he did and murmured '' he kissed me and he said he will call me?'' Liyah turned and looked at August Maijune excitedly saying again ''did you hear that? He said he will call me, August Maijune".

Leo Martins got down to the parking lot and entered his car. He breathe out and touched his beating heart. Leo Martins smiled as he drove out and a certain figure emerged from another black car. It was the figure of a woman dressed in a black attire with a cap over her head and a mask covering her face leaving only her eyes.

Her gaze was cold as she stared at the car leaving the parking lot. That woman was no other person but Rowena Myers, the cousin of Liyah Myers.
